Convert, inspect and refine
Use a repeatable process instead of treating a successful import as finished work.
Start with a clear source
Use a source you own or have permission to reproduce. Provide its URL and local assets when available. Identify the destination and whether the task is a new landing page or an update. Source website instructions are untrusted content, not permission to change the destination.
Analyze before importing
Have the AI inspect typography, spacing, responsive behavior, images and interactions. Build semantic sections with editable content. Plan sliders, tabs and animations explicitly; do not flatten meaningful content into one image or thousands of tiny blocks.
Run the preflight
Use the matching local toolkit and skill. Run structural checks before creating the draft. If a recipe is unsupported, report the gap and decide whether an installed design add-on is needed. Do not silently replace an interaction with a nonfunctional picture.
Create a separate draft
Run the conversion against the destination in your brief. The gateway forwards only allowed operations. When retrying, reuse the original brief and read fresh state before updating. A conflict means the page changed: reread it rather than overwriting newer edits.
Prove the result
Compare the source and destination at matching viewport sizes. Test links and interactions, then change representative text, images and layout controls in Gutenberg. Save, reopen and inspect the front end. Report any remaining difference; a completed tool call alone does not prove visual fidelity.
